KNRM (Royal Dutch Search and Rescue) station Westkapelle was established in 1911, or 112 years ago. Reason for a number of committed volunteers to publish a book on the rich history of this rescue station.
Family member Meinard Sprenger is part of the working group put together for this project as an advisor.
The book will contain the following elements:
1) Reason for establishment
2) History
3) Highs and lows
4) Description of equipment
5) The words of rescuers and former rescuers
6) Developments from 1911 to the present day
7) Words from the home front
The working group aims to present the book in May 2024.
